On the Way to Tralee

Tracks 3 & 4
Well, Dublin was fun, but it’s time to begin the real reason we’re here. We’ll be staying overnight in Tralee, not a town noted for hospitality, and then in the morning we’ll begin our 120 mile trek around the Dingle Peninsula.

Dublin is a fun, hustle & bustle city, and there were still some fun activities we would have enjoyed, such as Phoenix Park, Trinity College, various cliff walks, the Abbey Theater, etc. Miss Fish wanted to take in a Gaelic Athletic Association game, either hurling or Gaelic Football. It would have been fun to blog about a GAA game from the viewpoint of a clueless Yank, but that’ll have to be saved for another trip.

In Dublin, we traveled everywhere on foot. Here’s a route of our pedestrian travels around a little niche of Dublin:

I stayed in Tralee back in 1975 and found it to be the most hospitable place I had ever been too. It’s grown a tad since then.

Oops – I didn’t realise all these coments were coming out with Bentley’s name on them. He wasn’t there in ’75.
